The Royal National City Park - the world’s first national city park

Bergius Botanic Garden

This garden are a part of the city's national park, and its located just a short walk from the University. Read about it here, and here.

Swedish Museum of Natural History

The Swedish Museum of Natural History holds many exhibitions, collections and a restaurant. Visit the homepage for more info and directions.

City farm

A small farm with animals is located in the city's national park. This is especially nice place to visit with children. You can read about the farm in Swedish on their webpage, or find the location at google maps.

Stockholm University Library

On campus you find the Frescati University Library, read about it here.

Stockholm City

Here you find the official guide Visit Stockholm. For example they list the Abba museum, the City Hall, and the Royal Palace.

Stockholm City Museum

The Stockholm City Museum offers exhibitions covering historical and present themes in Stockholm. They also offer city tours, for example following the footsteps of Mikael Blomkvist and Lisbeth Salander from the Millennium books.

Moderna Museet

A state museum for modern and contemporary art.


Photography and exhibitions. They also offer a good kitchen for food or drinks.

Skansen Museum and Zoo

This open-air museum, opened in 1891, exhibits five centuries of Swedish history. The zoo shows the Scandinavian animals, such as the wolverine, the lynx and the reindeer.
